Richard has been involved in the construction industry from a very young age he learned the business from the ground up at the age of 13, first working as a laborer, then as a carpenter's helper and eventually as a carpenter. It was only natural that he would have his own company at the age of nineteen he started a framing business in Central Florida, building spec homes, custom homes and multifamily units, as well as light commercial buildings.In 1982, Richard relocated to Southern California to break into the Commercial construction industry. He went to work as a punch out superintendent on a sixteen story Marriott Hotel addition at the Anaheim Convention Center. From there, he went to work for Tishman West Corporation where he started working as a tenant improvement superintendent in Los Angeles he was responsible for all construction in approximately 2.5 million square feet of office buildings. He built for companies such as Time Incorporated, University of California, and New World Pictures.
